Lantra Level 2 Boom Sprayer course (one day training, 1.5 hours assessment)
Description
Who is this course for?
- Those with the qualification – ‘Safe Use of Pesticides’
- Those involved in boom sprayer, hydraulic nozzle application
- Those using a vehicle mounted / trailer boom spraying equipment (hydraulic nozzle)
- Those able to proficiently use and drive the vehicle used during training – i.e. tractors or quad bikes
What are the course objectives?
- Preparation and set up of sprayer
- Apply pesticides safely and efficiently with a field crop sprayer fitted with hydraulic nozzles
- Identify and select appropriate nozzles
- Carry out machine preparation and calibration
- Operate the equipment in compliance with current legislation and codes of practice
- Clean equipment and dispose of unwanted pesticides and containers
- Identify and rectify faults
- Recognise conditions when spraying is unadvisable
Prerequisites
You must have one of the following;
- PA1 Safe Use of Pesticides certificate
- Lantra Level 2 Safe Use of Pesticides certificate
