  • Those requiring certification that training has been given on the proper techniques for manual handling and the risks involved

What are the course objectives?

 
  • State the principles of safe lifting to minimise risk of injury
  • Be aware of parts of your body at risk due to poor handling techniques, understand common injuries and how they occur
  • Better recognise the risks of manual handling and how to help reduce them in your work place
  • Understand lifting tasks, practical lifting and the anatomy and physiology involved in manual handling
